Pow Wows are the Native American people's way of meeting together, to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships, and making new ones. This is a time to renew Native American culture and preserve the rich heritage of American Indians. Hiwan Homestead Museum is hosting a Pint-sized Pow Wow just for children ages 6-12. Plan to join in the activities on Monday, July 13 from 12:00 ? 1:30 p.m. at the Museum. Come and learn about the Native American people who originally lived on what is now Jefferson County Open Space land! A light lunch as well as traditional activities will be a part of this fun afternoon. Sign up early as space is limited and pre-registration is required. There is a fee of $10 per child. Please call the Museum at 720-497-7650 for more information and to sign up.
